Fave New Repurposing Holiday Project: Ornament Design

Written by Sarah Gant on . Posted in Professional Organizing, Raves and Faves

I made this ornament for my very dear friend who is separating himself from the anchor of alcohol addiction.  Wandering in local antique stores, I found a beautiful old ornament with sea blues, and a curious antique dealer found the sailboat pin in a competitor’s case.  I used white and red nail polish to change the sails from pink to white with the number 12 (his birthday is 12/12).  A wine pendant that I had never worn makes an anchor.

The title of the ornament is “A Ship on Troubled Waters”

What other ideas would make for a good repurposed ornament with costume jewelry?  I’d love to hear from people!

"Clutter is stuck energy.
The word "clutter" derives from the Middle English word "clotter,"
which means to coagulate -
and that's about as stuck as you can get."
